Abortion Rights and Access

In June of 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that for nearly 50 years guaranteed a Constitutional right to make personal healthcare decisions, including the choice to have an abortion. In over a dozen states, extremist anti-abortion lawmakers have already implemented abortion bans that deny access and treat people who seek abortion and doctors that provide them as criminals under the law, despite the fact that two thirds of Americans support access to safe, legal abortion. In the United States, people should have the freedom to decide for themselves if and when to start a family and access to the healthcare they need to do it safely and affordably.
